How Credits Work

A quick overview of the credit system before you dive in.

What are credits?

Credits are the unit of consumption for AI analysis. 1 credit = 1,000 characters Credits are deducted in proportion to the amount of text analyzed.

The Free plan automatically renews 30 credits (30,000 chars) every 30 days from your signup date. The Pro plan renews 5,000 credits (5,000,000 chars) monthly from your billing date. Credits do not roll over — remaining credits are reset on renewal.

What are Top-up credits?

Top-up credits are purchased separately from your monthly quota. They are used automatically once your monthly credits run out. No expiry date — they remain valid until used.

Top-up credits are retained even if you cancel your Pro subscription. After cancellation, analysis will use the standard (free) model.

Are credits charged if analysis fails?

No credits are deducted if the AI analysis itself fails. If AI analysis succeeds but Notion saving fails, credits are deducted and you can download the result as a .md file.

Can all web pages be analyzed?
Tabtrix extracts text from what is currently rendered in your browser tab. If a website actively prevents text extraction — such as through copy protection, content obfuscation, or rendering restrictions — that content cannot be analyzed. You can check the character count shown on each tab in the Analysis Board to estimate how much text was successfully extracted.
Which browsers are supported?
Currently Chrome-only. Support for other Chromium-based browsers (Edge, etc.) is planned for the future.
How do I connect Notion?
After installing the extension, click "Sign in with Notion" to be taken to the Notion OAuth page. Grant access and the connection is complete automatically. Tabtrix only creates documents in the page you select — it does not read or modify your existing Notion data.
What happens to my Top-up credits if I cancel Pro?
Top-up credits remain valid until used, even after cancelling your Pro subscription. After cancellation, analysis will run on the standard (free) model.
What is your refund policy?
No refunds are provided for unused time remaining on a subscription when cancelled or account deleted. Top-up credits are non-refundable after purchase.
How is my data handled?
Tab text content is sent to the Google Gemini API for analysis. Web page content (beyond the analysis result) is never stored on our servers. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
I lost access to my Notion account and can't log in. How do I cancel my subscription?
If you can't log in to Tabtrix, you can cancel your subscription directly through Polar (our payment provider).

Steps: Go to the Polar customer portal using the email you paid with → receive a magic link → log in and cancel.

If you've also lost access to that email, contact your card provider to block the recurring charge, or email us at tjehdqls12@gmail.com.
